Colleen Camenisch, MBA
MBSR and MBCT Teacher
Colleen Camenisch is the founder of equilibrium-mbsr, is a Certified Teacher through the UMASS Center for Mindfulness, and has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programs along with other meditation courses for over a decade. Colleen taught one year at the UMASS Center for Mindfulness, and remains adjunct faculty at the UMASS Memorial Health formerly (UMASS Center for Mindfulness) and at the Brown University Mindfulness Center.
In addition to the MBSR classes, she has taught many modified programs, at many large companies, hospitals including a program for victims of trauma at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts, and has taught programs in conjunction with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Colleen’s other professional experience includes a Master’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from UNR. Additionally, she completed a post-graduate course in International Business and Trade Law at the United Nations International Labor Organization. She also works part-time as Executive Director of the Nevada Physician Wellness Coalition.
Her practical business skills coupled with her extensive formal education have brought a unique combination of professionalism, knowledge, and sincere compassion to all of her work. In all of her personal and professional endeavors, she has strived to find ways to make the world and community a better place.
Laura N. V. Drucker, Psy.D.
Psychologist and MBCT Teacher
Dr. Laurie Drucker is a Licensed Psychologist in Reno, Nevada. Dr. Drucker graduated from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education & amp; Psychology in 2001 and has been practicing in Nevada since 2003. She has a private practice working with children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Drucker specializes in the treatment of trauma and stress-related disorders and is trained in multiple therapeutic modalities from cognitive behavioral therapy to interpersonal neurobiology. She integrates mindfulness-based therapies in her efforts to help people find balance, insight, and compassion while navigating difficult life experiences. In addition, Dr. Drucker serves as Legislative Co-Chair of the Nevada Psychological Association and is a consultant at Quest Counseling in Reno.
