What are the benefits of Mindfulness Based Interventions?
Mindfulness is the practice of cultivating non-judgmental awareness in the present moment. It is a practice of learning to pay attention to our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations and acknowledging whatever is present. By developing this skill, it is possible to begin to take charge of one’s own life by simply noticing what is happening in the mind and body while it is happening, and help counter habitual thought processes that can create anxiety and resistance to what is happening in the present moment.
