Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion Retreat

This one-day retreat introduces participants to mindfulness and mindful self-compassion. The focus of the retreat will be on meditation-based practices, including the body scan, walking meditation mindful movement, loving-kindness meditation, compassionate meditations and visualization practices, and sensory awareness.
Part of the retreat will be in silence to support participants in their personal explorations. While participants will be able to turn inward, rest, and contemplate throughout the day, the location for the retreat, Galena Creek Park, uniquely allows for immersion in and communion with nature. The retreat facilitators will offer exercises that integrate the natural world in reflections and contemplations.
This retreat is designed for all who desire to learn about mindfulness and mindful self-compassion. Additionally it’s for those who want to take time out of their busy lives to experience calm, ease and joy! No prior experience is required. In addition to offering some basic information on mindfulness and mindful self-compassion, the retreat facilitators will guide participants through the practices and offer support as needed.
